VEGAN, 4 portions
Ingredients:
- 3 cans pre-boiled kidney beans
- 2 medium onions
- 1.5 can tomato puree
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander powder
- cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- Coriander leaves
1. Heat the oil in a pan and add a table spoon of cumin seeds. Wait till it crackles.
2. Add onions and saute till it turns light brown.
3. Add salt and ginger garlic powder/paste and continue to saute. Add the other spices; turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chili powder and mix well.
4. Add tomato puree and mix well. Saute for a 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the kidney beans and mix well. Add a 2 cups of water, stir and mix well.
6. Add half a cup of coriander leaves for taste and garnish.
7. Serve it with bred or rice.
